Loyalty Lab and longtime client, 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, have teamed up to tap into one of the largest social networks, Facebook, and created an application dubbed ‘Gimme Love.’ This application makes it easy for users on Facebook to engage in a gifting economy with each other and get rewarded for doing so through 1-800-FLOWERS.COM’s Fresh Rewards program. This is facilitated by the flexibility and openness of the Loyalty Lab platform, making it easy to connect rewards programs to where online customers spend time.
'Gimme Love' With Fresh Rewards
Able to go live with a current program quickly, Loyalty Lab-enabled applications allow Facebook members to collect points for:
- Referring Friends
- Making Purchases
- Engaging in any activity the client wishes to reward
Through an embedded microsite in the application, users can also view point balances and access personalized offers without leaving Facebook.
1-800-Flowers.com is the first client to integrate the ‘Gimme Love’ Loyalty Lab-enabled application into their loyalty program, Fresh Rewards. Facebook users are invited to install the app on Facebook when they receive some “love” from a friend, or can connect to it from the Facebook applications section or the 1-800-Flowers main Web site. Facebook users can use 'Gimme Love' to send real or virtual flowers, choosing from a selection of actual products offered by 1-800-Flowers.com. In addition to the real and virtual gifts available to all Facebook users through ‘Gimme Love”, Fresh Rewards members are able to view their account information and earn points for sending virtual gifts. Links in the application direct users to the product pages where they can purchase flowers from 1-800-Flowers.com.
