Platinum Rewards Goes Online for Jewelers

National Jeweler, August 14, 2008 by National Jeweler

San Francisco, Calif. -- Customer-loyalty program Platinum Rewards has partnered with market-retention firm Loyalty Labs to make its program available online to jewelers.

Founded in 2003 by Michael Pollak of Hyde Park Jewelers, Platinum Rewards allows independent jewelers to offer rewards programs to loyal customers. The program originally ran through Application System Corp.'s POS system.

The partnership with Loyalty Labs gives Platinum Rewards a Web-based platform, making it available to jewelers regardless of infrastructure.

"We wanted more jewelers to be able to offer customers membership in Platinum Rewards and did an exhaustive search before choosing Loyalty Lab to take over the program," Pollak said in a statement.

Platinum Rewards has more than 14,000 members and allows consumers to receive points with more than 1,000 online retailers.

Loyalty Labs provides retailers and service companies with integrated and on-demand e-mail, campaign management, loyalty programs and incentives. The company's clients include 1800flowers.com and Bally Total Fitness.
